This wedding was the perfect way to kick off my 2019 wedding season. Although winter is by far my least favorite season (seasonal depression, less sunshine, uncomfortably cold, etc.), Josh and Sarah’s winter wonderland wedding proved that there is beauty to behold in every season. Sarah and her bridesmaids got ready for the wedding in her downtown Quincy apartment. Filled with natural light and brick walls, it was one of my most favorite spaces to photograph in!
After sharing their personal vows in front of their friends and family at their church, we headed outside for pictures. Their wedding took place on the first weekend in February, and there was still remnants of the most recent snowfall on the ground to make everything look even more beautiful. Despite the snow, the weather was so sunny that we didn’t even freeze to death!
Within downtown Quincy is Dick Brothers Brewery, an old building with a lot of charm and history. I had shot a wedding there last year, so I was super excited when Sarah told me she had also reserved the building for pictures. The building, which is currently being restored, provided a unique combination of industrial and vintage backdrops for their photos.
Josh and Sarah wrapped up their night by dancing to a live band and a sparkler exit!
